In recognition of her commitment and dedication to the m|cc our chief tutor Teresa was awarded an Environmental & Education Volunteer of the Year certificate at the Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2023 organised by the East Lothian Volunteer Centre. Everybody at the club is very proud of her.

June saw the club Summer Trip…a sail on a section of the Union canal.
Boarding at Polwarth Parish Church, who operate the canal boat ‘All Aboard’ in partnership with the Scottish Social Innovation Charity People Know How the journey took us along the canal to Slateford and then back along to the historic Leamington Lift Bridge near the canal’s terminus at Fountainbridge.
A wonderful trip was had by all. The only complaint being the chocolate biscuits had melted in the heat! It was a very hot day to be messin’ about on the river.
